In communities you usually have the possibility to close your account. LinkedIn is a huge business community, quite expensive. But if you ever would like to close or quite your account, you have to search for this option. I did’nt found it after quite a while. Then I start searching in the web for solutions. And I found other users with such the same problem. You cound not beleave it! There is no possiblity for that little thing.

But there is a solution!
How to delete a LinkedIn Account?

The only way is, you have to contact manually the customer service and you have to ask for it. I went this way and after 2 days, I received a mail from the customer support, that my account has been deleted.

What do you have to ask?
Tell them, that you would like to quit forever and never ever want any kind of mail again!
In my case, it worked out fine.

Other useres wrote about a little side effekt. After deleting your account, you do not expect to receive further mails from LinkedIn. Guess what? Yes, you probably will receive more mails. It is a kind of spam. Yes it is spam, because you don’t want mails, you don’t ask for it, but you still receive mails. That is spamming!
